Tomaree Peninsula · Port Stephens Water on three sides · doors serviced like hulls

Garage door service areas across Port Stephens

The patch, suburb by suburb

One LGA, two honestly different markets. The Tomaree Peninsula is an older, settled, salt-exposed installed base where the work is repair and rhythm; the mainland corridor at Medowie and Raymond Terrace is young, growing and building, where the work is new doors and first services. We run both, from the Salamander Bay side.

Water on three sides

The peninsula run

Minutes, not a highway trip. Everything east of Anna Bay is the home patch.

51% of Nelson Bay's dwellings are units and apartments: holiday stock with roller doors and strata garages
55 median age on the Nelson Bay Peninsula: settled owners, older doors, repair country
37.3% of Nelson Bay's homes stood empty on census night 2021: the empty-house door is real here

What the peninsula asks of a door: salt-literate hardware, a service rhythm, and someone local enough to come today. Shoal Bay and Fingal Bay lean holiday-unit; Corlette and Soldiers Point lean detached houses on the water side; Anna Bay cops the ocean straight off the dunes.

Down Nelson Bay Road

The mainland corridor

Half an hour west the story flips: young families, new estates, double sectional doors going in for the first time.

  • Raymond Terrace38 MIN
  • Tanilba Bay & Lemon Tree Passage33 MIN
  • Karuah50 MIN
+3.2% a year: Medowie's growth rate, the fastest in the LGA
38 median age in the Medowie / Raymond Terrace census area: young family country
80.7% separate houses out that way: double garages, sectional doors

Karuah is genuinely a run for anyone, us included, at 50 minutes up the highway. We'll still come; we just won't pretend it's around the corner.

Where we stop

Tea Gardens & Hawks Nest: not ours to claim

They get marketed with Port Stephens because the ferry runs there, but Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest sit across the Myall River mouth in Mid-Coast Council. That's a different run entirely, and a local over there deserves the job. We cover the Port Stephens LGA: the peninsula, the Tilligerry side, and the corridor out to Karuah.

The booking sheet

Tell us what the door's doing

Name, number, suburb, and what you've noticed. We read every sheet the way a slip-master reads a haul-out booking, then call you back to lock in the visit. Repairs are quoted on site after we've seen the door; new doors get a free measure and quote.

No phone number published yet, so the form is the channel. We call you back on the number above.
